We are delighted to make this announcement. Colleen Seymour and Frank Walsh, personal friends of Julie and John Hamilton and long standing supporters of NLPR, have recently launched their new brewery business, St Jude’s Brewery, and are sponsoring these two ales, specially concocted for NLPR. NLPR will receive 25% of the revenue raised from the sale of each bottle. To our knowledge, these are the first ales in the UK designed to help raise money for an animal charity. Not only this, NLPR ales are made using an ethical green system, as with all ales made by St. Jude’s Brewery! | ![]() African Grey Parrot |
Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Colleen and Frank for this sponsorship. All at NLPR wish them well in their new venture! We are delighted and have high hopes of it reaching its full potential.
St. Jude’s brewery sold over 100 bottles of NLPR Golden Ale in the first week of promoting its availability through the media. We are pushing to get a local superstore to stock it as an initial effort to bring these two palatable ales to the high street. We are hoping that many of our friends will support this effort for we desperately need to reach our target of £1M to build a high standard parrot rescue, rehabilitation, education and awareness facility in East Anglia. Phew! Quite a challenge for a small charity, but we have to do it in order to meet the needs of needy birds today and those of tomorrow.
Golden Ale (500ml / 3.9% ABV): Made with Maris Otter malt and blended with floral hops to give a fresh smooth taste and a hint of banana for a tropical flavour. £2.00 per bottle.
Pale Ale (500ml / 3.5% ABV): For vegans and vegetarians. A light summer ale, ideal for any occasion. Made with wheat, barley, yeast, natural hops and animal free finings. Blended with aroma hops for a refreshing lasting flavour. £2.00 per bottle.
